We rescue historic buildings at risk and bring them back to life as places the whole community can use, enjoy and be proud of.
Richmondshire Building Preservation Trust (RBPT) is a heritage restoration charity in the market town of Richmond, North Yorkshire. We adopt, restore and reimagine buildings at risk across Richmondshire, giving them a new purpose at the heart of our community, preserving our heritage for the next generation.
We don’t just preserve what’s already there; we breathe new life into it. Our flagship project, The Station, was a derelict Victorian railway station. Today it’s an award-winning destination, a Café | Bar, a three-screen cinema, art galleries and a home for thriving independent businesses, welcoming hundreds of thousands of visitors a year.
